Coming
from different countries, backgrounds and cultures makes life
quite interesting, and at times challenging. Add to this the move to
another city or country, and in some cases several job-related moves,
it would be nice, we thought, to have
one constant through all these changes; the Indonesian American
Couples’ Web Village.
We would like this to be a place for Indonesian and American couples
all over the world to call home in this fluid and global community. A
place to meet, exchange ideas, news, make new friends, or re-discover
old friends. A
place where, with time, a visit to the village feels like recharging
your batteries, very much like “pulang kampung” in Indonesian or
going back home, whether it is Texas, Java, California, Sulawesi, or
anywhere in the U.S or Indonesia.
Due to constraints of distance and
time we can’t visit the place we grew up in as often as we would like.
Luckily we can visit the IUC village as often as we want at any time of
the day. This village is open to all Indonesian American couples,
married, engaged, an item or just together.
We hope to make this village a very informative, interesting and
entertaining place - please help by sending your ideas, thoughts,
articles, etc.
